A Smart Power Plan provides a detailed plan for realization of the optimum power supply through a solid and detailed inventory, knowledge and experience with (temporary) energy systems. For this, we’ve developed our own Smart Power Plan software tool. The plan exists of a custom made energy supplies, such as grid connection(s), local renewable energy supplies, batteries and/or optimized diesel generators with on demand tunes (renewable) fuel mix.
We do not supply and install the required hardware, but with our Smart Power Plan, you can go directly to your supplier(s) or request offers from different suppliers. We work independently, in order to optimally fulfil your interests and needs.
When compiling a Smart Power Plan, we use the scientific Trias Energetica approach. We first look to the energy consumption itself; is energy efficient equipment used? When will the energy being used, are the energy consumers which can be eliminated? And so on.
When the real energy needs are known and mapped, we see in what way the energy needs can be sourced against minimal costs (during the entire period of the project) in the most sustainable way. Is a grid connection available and can it be supplied by renewable energy (contract)? Can (a part of) the energy needs locally generated by renewable energy supplies? Is it economically feasible the run diesel generators on 2nd generation biofuel (HVO)?
We will ensure that the available energy systems are deployed in the most efficient way. We will also ensure to optimally use an available grid connection by using a battery as peak shaver, making combinations of power consumers with different user profiles in order to create an as constant as possible power demand (load). At the same time, we look into the possibilities for increasing the efficiency of diesel generators by coupling them and turning them on and off depending on the actual load demand, or by increasting the efficiency with a combination of diesel generators and battery storage (hybrid systems).
